How we do it

The success of PYPA 21 is very much attributed to the support of local schools, youth groups and clubs. With their help we are able to introduce the principles of 'Agenda 21' to the young people of Plymouth and the role that PYPA 21 plays within this.

Any children who wish to join PYPA 21 are asked to fill in application forms (requiring parent/gaurdian permission). They will then receive their membership cards, quarterly newsletters and other PYPA 21 goodies.

Regular meetings of those members are then held to develop the groups ideas into projects of action. These may take the form of environmental schemes that already exist, or schemes specific to the groups needs can be organised. There are also many talks/presentations that can be attended, some of them with similar groups from overseas. Any children who become involved in such events or projects are awarded with PYPA 21 certificates.

It is important to stress that PYPA 21 is a flexible organisation. It intends to help by complimenting already established educational/group frameworks and the level of involvement can be designed to suit that particular school, group or club needs.

PYPA 21 offers a source of education for all of our children and hope for all of us.
