What will planet earth be like in the 21st century? Will there still be problems like famine, wars and pollution?

Because of problems like these, politicians and experts from all over the world decided to get together at a big meeting which took place in Brazil.

At this meeting they all agreed that a plan was needed to save the future of planet earth. They called this plan 'Agenda 21'.

To make 'Agenda 21' work the governments have asked for the help of younger people, not only to have a say about the world they live in, but to be able to do something about it.
